Idiocracy

Idiocracy, a 2006 Mike Judge film, presents a humorous take on a different style of dystopia: a society filled with complete imbeciles, under the complete control of manipulative (and stupid) corporate advertising and television programs. This film is interesting because it takes several social symptoms of contemporary America to an extreme end, and is effective in both humor and satire because the scenario seems entirely too plausible.

Fox News in the future: scantily-clad bodybuilding reporters against a background of advertisments let you know what is important.


A television screen in the future: don't worry, there is definitely enough to keep the average feeble mind utterly occupied.
